I am disappointed I had to give up on the cosmetic equipment to get more room in my inventory, though. Also, each character only has 3 useful equip slots and 3 cosmetic. The limited inventory is a feature that makes each item more important and prevents you from just chugging endless heals to get through. The combat does take a bit to get used to, but I think it's fine. Later on they sell 3 packs of vemon-away and your healer learns antidote.
I never found a problem with the AI or with getting poisoned too much.
If renting were still a thing i'd suggest that, because this game isnt going to be interesting to most anyone after a couple grueling hours still, at least most people in every town have something new to say each day. The one saving grace of the game is its attention to detail with the npc dialogue, though, from what i've played (slightly past the wyvern, at which point i got addicted to harvest moon again), the main plot leaves plenty to be desired. add this to the bad ai, and the extremely common, "permanent" and lethal poison status (which has from what i've seen around an 80% chance of being inflicted any time an enemy with it hits you), and a few dungeons become more annoying than anything to fight through, unless you love stopping in the middle of the dungeon to fight through more enemies to reach town and restock on venom-away beyond that, NONE of your consumables stack, except for the arbitrary few that start off stacked that you can never replenish. a whole 33% of what you're carrying on you at any given time is gear. with about 40 inventory slots, and 100 in storage, it's total bullshit to have your equipment (up to i think 5 slots per character) and cosmetic items eat up space. Lastly, the inventory system is simply god-awful. The controls are too floaty for the platforming elements (not that this makes them hard, just annoying), and tend to be unresponsive in combat, leading to a game that is played just as well by button mashing as it is with strategically placed combos.

It's entirely average for the genre it's in (rpg elements hack n slash platformer), super repetitive, and, for those unused to it, full of shrieking underage girls.
